The Postdoctoral Advisory Board is a group of postdoctoral researchers from across the University who meet 2–4 times per quarter to advise administration on issues relevant to postdoctoral researchers. The Board gathers and assesses information related to the postdoctoral experience at UChicago, helps create and develop new initiatives/programs for postdocs, and makes recommendations to UChicagoGRAD and the Office of the Provost on postdoc-related issues.
As a member of the Postdoctoral Advisory board, you have the opportunity to:
- Develop the postdoc experience for yourself, your fellow postdocs, and future postdocs at UChicago
- Connect and build community with postdocs from across the University
- Engage with senior leadership through quarterly meetings with the Vice Provost
- Exposure to functions and processes of higher education administration
- Build your CV through valuable academic service experience
The Postdoctoral Advisory Board will open to new member applications in December 2024.
