Time Off
Postdoctoral Scholars do not accrue vacation time. Postdoctoral Scholars are expected to take time off each academic year in the periods between quarters, up to four weeks per year. If, however, the Postdoctoral Scholar’s research program involves work during these periods, it is expected that the mentor will approve equivalent time off at another mutually agreeable time. Unless the extramural funding agency contains provisions to the contrary, Postdoctoral Fellows and Postdoctoral Fellows – Paid Direct are eligible to take time off under these same conditions. Any time off balance remaining at the time the Postdoctoral Researcher’s appointment ends is forfeited.
